Which laptop should we buy?? MacBook or Windows laptop.
Guys!! don't get confused, when I joined my college, I also felt the same and with experience, I have learnt which one to choose So in this video, I am going to share my experience and knowledge that what is the difference between both of them You should buy a MacBook or not as an architecture student.
So guys lets talk about the positive point of having a MacBook If you are using any other apple device then integration of MacBook with that device will be amazing and you will enjoy that apple ecosystem because everything is very steamless Another point is, Apple's software is best in class like with minimum specs laptop would perform very well. because both software and hardware is made by apple due to which software-hardware integration is best in class and you will get lag-free experience Let's move to another point, the weight of the MacBook is very less Another point is its resale, you will get a very good amount for its resale Another is durability, like after 5 years also it will perform the same Last I will mention apple's SSD, they are super fast SSD which will perform your task very quickly So, guys these were the positive points about the MacBook. Now, let's talk from an architecture student perspective that what are the problems which he is going to face while using a MacBook So, guys the most important and the biggest factor is its price tag. MacBooks are very expensive- The starting price is around 1 lakh and you will get basic specs out of them Now let's talk about another point As an architecture student, we need a laptop which has a good GPU. In apple, you will get a good GPU in around 3 lakh laptop Now, let me tell you
why GPU is important for us?
Guys GPU is basically used in graphic intensive applications like in 3D modelling, Rendering, etc and most of the time we have to make 3Ds of our design to explain more effectively Now next point will be very important that all applications which we are going to use are paid applications One more Expense.
lol So guys lets talk about 3D rendering software First will be Vray next which will perform well in this laptop because Vray next use CUDA for 3D rendering and only Nvidea provides CUDA cores and apple is no more associated with Nvidea. So, all the MacBooks come with an AMD graphic card Next talk about lumion Lumion is not compatible with Mac OS. So, you have to install windows in your MacBook and then run lumion which doesn't make sense Now lets talk about gaming You can not play high-end games on a MacBook I can say MacBooks are basically made for artist or content creators like those are in the musical industry, videography, photography, etc but not for us So, guys I have talked about software and hardware.
Now talk about practicality 90% of students in your batch will be buying a windows laptop So, you cannot exchange software, files, etc because the files format is different and all the software will be paid The next problem is file sharing Windows have a different format and apple has a different format of any file.
